However, access points are so important that their location and configuration determine the signal quality and network bandwidth. In practice, access points determine the comfort of work. The choice of access points should depend on the rooms where the WLAN network is to function. There are both internal access points (indoor) and external access points (outdoor). This type of indoor wireless network devices work well in closed rooms, with a temperature range of 5-40 degrees C and no nuisance such as rain or dust. On the other hand, outdoor access points can be used at a temperature range of -20-50 degrees Celsius, as well as in dusty conditions.
Switch (network switch)
A network switch (switch) is a small device that affects the performance of the WLAN. It consists of the so-called ports – one device can be connected to each of them. The choice of switch should therefore depend on how many devices are to use WLAN. It is also worth paying attention to the visibility of the LEDs informing about the individual parameters of the device (receiving and sending data, throughput, speed of operation or possible errors).
